.Thin hair.?

I used to have really long, thick hair but it was so difficult to take care of I cut it to a length a little shorter than my avatars, and I liked it because it was nice and poofy because it was so thick.

Now that I've had the hairstyle for a few months it isn't at all poofy anymore, and has essentually no volume.

I get it cut ever month or so, but it may be just a tad longer. I've been using a volumizing shampoo also.

Is it possible that I wore it out or something or do I just need to get it cut shorter again?
