you will need hairpins and maybe a few bobpins. i like the bone pins for decoration.

pull all your hair up on the top like a ponytail (smooth it out)and divide it into 2 parts (right and left) tie into a knot (like tieing your shoe but with out the bow) one time. take a hairpin and pin around the hair that will be on top.

for example: right over left. pin left side around the tail piece.

feel for weighted areas and pin into place.

if using metal pins - bend one side back so it looks like a 'stick h'. it will hold the hair better.
